This is happening in a number of industries, and has been for years.  My 
wife works at the Sprint PCS call center at near Meacham in Fort Worth.  
Chances are now about 1:10 that when you dial *2 and get a customer 
service representative, you're talking to some guy in Dehli, India.  It's 
apparently cheaper to pipe the calls to Asia than it is to pay an American 
to take them.

People wonder why the American job market is in the toilet, especially in 
states like Texas where employee-protection laws are very weak.
