Wow! I've never had two boxes that needed to be setup the same. You are
ONE LUCKY GUY, Ken.
Michael, can one use Linuxconf on a slackware box? It doesn't come with my
distribution by default.
Greg, have you checked with netstat -l to see if anything is running on port
10000? What does a
' ps -auxw | grep miniserv ' reveal? Any running processes? Have you tried
re-running the setup.sh script and moving webmin to another port? Do you
have webmin running with SSL? Have you tried both http://hostname:10000 or
https://hostname:10000 ?
Hey, Webmin has allowed me to get Linux in the door of several places.
Having that GUI allows most any competent MSCE to configure Linux thus
removing the FEAR factor of introducing an 'unconfigurable' Linux box into
the network.
