The current Debian CDs should be ok with this hardware. Installer is text 
driven, they're still using X 3.3.6 as the stable X environment. Plop on a 
simple window environment. Not much in terms of hardware recognition and hand 
holding though. Very easy to maintain though.

Basically, if he wants a "modern" desktopy feel to his P133 machine, it's going 
be really hard to do with his hardware specs. But if he just wants an X 
environment with a pleasant Window Manager like Afterstep to run some simple 
apps, then I don't see any problems.
