I just wanted to point out a very valuable reference.  Doing business
support for an ISP, I have our abuse department call me pretty often,
asking that I contact a customer to walk them through closing the open
relay on whatever mail server they've decided to put up and leave at the
default config.  ;-)  This site has been a god-send, and I imagine it
could help a lot of the good folks here as well.

It looks like they have links on how to allow Qmail to relay, and also a
link on how to allow users with pop accounts to relay.  (unfortunately,
it's a .tar.gz, not a web page, so I don't know the mechanism they use.)
