Hello:

I am unsucessful in trying to get my epson stylus color 860 to
work under redhat 7.2.

Here is what I did:
1. Plugged my printer into the first USB port on the back of the
	computer.
2. Logged into KDE as root (I have the machine set-up to boot
	into graphical mode).
3. Hit the "KDE Control Panel" icon on my desktop.
4. Hit the "Printer Configuration" icon. This brought
	up the printconf-gui.
5. Hit the "New" Button. This brought up the Add a new Print Queue
	dialog.
6. Hit the "Next" button.
7. For Queue Name, I put in "Epson". I left the "Local Printer"
	check box selected.
8. The devices list had these two items:
	/dev/lp0
	/dev/usb/lp0	EPSON USB Printer
So I selected the /dev/usb/lp0 line and hit Next
9. In the Printer Driver selection, I chose "Epson" and then
"Stylus Color 860" and then "stp" (Which was listed
as the best driver in the linuxprinting database) and
	then hit Next.
10. On the confirm page, I had these items:
	Type: Local Printer Device
	Device: /dev/usb/lp0
Driver: Epson Stylus Color 860 stp
Everything looked OK, so I hit Finish. This closed the
	dialog.
11. In the printconf-gui, I hit Apply.
12. I went to Test - > ASCII Test Page

Nothing happened. It seems like the system found my printer during the
config, but it is not able to print to it.

I don't see any error messages or anything else to try to figure out
what happened.

Any ideas??

Thanks,
	Neil.
