I was visiting a friend in Austin the other day. He uses grub exclusively on
all his machines.
I asked about it, and he told me grub allows much more flexibility than any
other such product. For instnace, it allows you to use individual command
parameters as you wish when you boot, offering a command line for this
purpose. This would seem ideal of testing various alternatives upon booting,
or perhaps for loading a particular module you don't always need but which
may be necessary for occasional use.
I am soon moving from SuSE 7.2 to 7.3, and I intend to install grub as part
of that new configuration.
I hope this helps, and will look forward to comments by others.
