i recently discovered the same experience on a pc of mine on my interenal
network. i haven't fixed the problem yet becuase i just realized what may be
happening this morning.

you may have to check the bios to see if it automatically goes into "sleep" mode
- and you may have an option to turn that feature off. one other alternative is
to see if you have a "wake on lan" option in the bios and turn that on instead.
i can let you know the results of these tweaks if you like...
