[NTLUG:Discuss] ntfs support kernel version?

I currently have Redhat 6.1, kernel 2.2.12-20.  I never paid attention to 
this before, but it doesn't support ntfs partitions, i guess.  Do i need to 
recompile support into this version or upgrade?  I know there was an issue 
concerning Microsoft trying to sue some Linux companies for supporting ntfs 
partitions.  Whatcha think?  ps, these past posts have really helped me 
learn about group permissions and refresh my wannabe-linux-brain!
