[NTLUG:Discuss] PPP server on Red Hat

It has been quite a while since I've dialed up a linux ppp server from
a windoze system, but I do recall having problems with the canned
auto-login
scripts from mickeysoft.  That said, a few suggestions:

1) make sure only TCP/IP is enabled thru the windoze dialup adapter

2) somewhere there is a windoze checkbox for log into network.  Don't
   check that box.

3) somewhere else you can tell windoze to open a terminal window after
   dialing.  Do it!

4) when the terminal window comes up, login manually and then click the
   "continue" box.

If that allows you to get in, you can start playing around with the
auto-
login script to see if you can get that to work without opening the
terminal
window.
