[NTLUG:Discuss] Samba and Laptop Troubles

Hi NTLUG

I'm a NT Admin who is switching to Linux. 
I'm reading Samba Unleashed by Steve Litt 
to learn how to support the Win9x, 2k and
XP clients on my LAN (50 or so). Has 
anyone who has made a similar switch have 
any tips?

Also, I just installed 7.2 on my laptop, 
but I keep hanging during boot:

hda : 12685680 sectors (6495 MB), CHS= etc.
ide-floppy driver 0.97
Partition check:
 hda:

It hangs on the last line. The laptop is 
an old SiliconTop running a Celeron 
processor. Any ideas?
