[NTLUG:Discuss] pppd questions

I recently set up my pppd using the Linux Journal's of Feb and March 
(hopfully someone will recognize this and no what I'm talking about) and
followed all the steps.  Everything worked fine during the set up.  At the 
end of the article I could dial to my ISP, run a traceroute on any 
paticular IP address, ping any site, but I could not access websites or 
telnet. I would get something to the effect of name resolution.  I have 
tried using the dns numbers, and w/out. Nothing seams to work.  It is 
probably some little mistake I made, but I can't figure it out for the 
life of me.  I get the same problem when I try to config. wvdial as well.
  
My system is a RH7.2
