Recognized SCSI CD-ROM devices under Linux are /dev/sr* and /dev/scd* (block device
number is 11).  I would imagine if these haven't been created, it wouldn't hurt to
try 'MAKEDEV sr'.  Unless the behavior of this script has changed, it should create
the whole family of sr devices.
