Ok, I'm not sure about some of that stuff, but I know that in Mandrake
8.1 there was a problem with the internet sharing if you hadn't
configured the tiny firewall.  Also there was some other problem about
every time you rebooted you had to reconfigure that tiny firewall again.
But there was also a fix for this as I recall.  Look into updated
packages for the tiny firewall, or check http://groups.google.com and
search for mandrake tiny firewall.
