[NTLUG:Discuss] RH 7.2 and VMWare Workstation 3.x

Admittedly the Compaq Prosigna 160 is a slower machine, but it is what I
have to work with as a test bed, so that the platform, with a 6GB Hard
drive, floppy, CD-ROM, NIC, 162MB RAM.

I installed Red Hat 7.2 with the "development package" (not the Kernel
Development package), and then tried to install VMWare on top.

Everything seems to be OK, until just after asking where the
"../linux/include" files are, it complains about not finding some *.asm
files. Is that stuff going to be in the Kernel Development package, or
has anyone gotten VMWare 3.x up on Red Hat 7.2?

Sorry to be a little short of detail, but if anyone needs/wants it, I
can get them for you this afternoon when I get home.

I have options to move back to Red Hat 6.2 or 7.1, if anyone has a
comment on those?

PS: this is just a test bed - shall be building a new machine if and
when testing is complete.
