Patrick,
I successfully backed up a Palm IIIx on my RedHat 7.2 system
using pilot-xfer from pilot-link-0.9.5-8. I've never done more
than a backup though. ( No mail, etc. ) If I remember
correctly, the only "gotcha" was I had to start the sync
manually on the Palm ( the sync button on the cradle wouldn't
work ).
