[NTLUG:Discuss] Linux/Windows DHCP problem

I'm integrating a RedHat 7.2 workstation onto a
predominantly Windows 2000 network. The DHCP
server is integrated into Win2K ADS; and serves up
an IP just fine. The problem is that a DNS record is
not being created to allow other machines to "see"
my RedHat box. The DNS/ADS/DHCP services are
all on the same Win2K box. I don't control any of
Win2K services in this environment.

I guess my questions are:

1) Is there an option I can tell RedHat to use in the
DHCP request that will "force" the DNS record creation?

2) Is there something I can recommend for the Win2K
box which will make it more Linux friendly?

3) Is there some other solution which I haven't thought
of?

All suggestions will be gratefully accepted ( although
possibly, not acted upon ;-) ).

Thanks,

Val
