I vote for msdos floppies too (if possible).. ext2fs on floppy retains 
permissions.. I've run into having slightly different user id's on different 
boxes (for security reasons) and not being able to get my file open on the 
receiving box. 

Its easy enough to go back to the sending box and chmod. However, when the 
boxes are a car trip apart, this is pretty frustrating.  (and NOONE gets root 
acess at my job.)

Anything you're writing to floppy you probably want to strip permissions from 
anyway.  MSDOS conversion takes care fo this for you, its not another step 
you have to remember.
