[NTLUG:Discuss] ethernet connection and file transfer woes...

This sounds exactly like the problem I was having. (I hope I fixed it.)

I have a p3/1.0 with an intel nic hooked to a netopia r9100 router. The 
router has a 8 port hub built in.
The problem is that the ports are all 10mb half duplex. I think every time 
my nic tried to auto negotiate the whole thing would go out to lunch.



I have replaced the patch cable and I went to a 3com nic.

My server is up this morning!!!! WHOPPPE!!!!
