I believe I asked about mp3 encoders. Is seems bladeenc doesn't ship with 
Mandrake. I was able to find an RPM and install from that. I can now create 
mp3 disk which will play in my auto stereo. The default config for grip is to 
do ogg format by default. Once bladeenc was installed I had no trouble 
getting grip to work with it.
