[NTLUG:Discuss] OpenOffice Fonts

I'm guessing this has been discussed before. I apologize if so.

I have OpenOffice installed and am having difficulty with the displayed
fonts. It just plain looks like crap. Very pixilated. When it prints,
everything looks good. Any solutions for this?
Here is a little system settings:

CPU: 1.6Ghz AMD Athlon
Mem: 768M SDRAM
Graphics: NVidia GForce 2, 64m RAM
Distro: Mandrake 8.0
Printing System: CUPs
X Desktop: Ximian Gnome 2.0
OpenOffice 1.0


Graphics drivers are working great. Resolution is 1024x768. OpenGL works
fine.

I've not installed any new fonts besides what came with Mandrake.

Any ideas? Need more information?
