Let me simplify my question from the other day ...
(1) Have you printed to a color printer from Red Hat Linux?
     (a) Did you print the Red Hat Printtool Postscript Test Page?
         (  i) Did the "hat" in the log come out red?
         ( ii) In the color bar, what color printed over the label:
               1) Blue
               2) Red
               3) Yellow
               4) Purple
               5) Brown
               6) Gold
               7) Cyan
               8) Green
