Sorry about the mail bounce I have been forced to block pretty much all the free e-mail services dues to spammers using them because they already have all the domains they own blacklisted.
I tried the LTSP and after many hours of cursing and digging got it to work with the network card only to find out the card has some issues with my 10/100 switch. I ended up downloading the 3 debian cds and trying that and after many hours of waiting there it was finally installed. The 486sx runs a lot better than I thought it would. So now I'm at the point of getting the Chips & Tech F65545 video card to work with the built on Elo/Hitachi LCD touch panel. Which may be a big challenge given only 512kB of Video memory. I'm thinking I should be able to get at least 8bit at 800x600.
I would also like to see a LTSP topic because that would be the ideal setup for this particular device.

Paul: I have a 486DX2/66 with 20M ram running Mandrake 7.0 that someone ported
to the 486. It is kinda like molasses in January, but that 486 does stuff that
I never thought one would do. Buy the cd's at Mr. O's Linux Emporium. It is the
easiest way to get the distro
and load it.

Dig around in his site, they are there, probably under Mandrake.
Later,
Fred
