Trying my luck with CD burning of an ISO using ECLiPT.
Getting the error messages:
>cdrecord: Operation not permitted. WARNING: Cannont do mlockal(2)
>cdrecord: WARNING: This causes a high risk for buffer underruns.
>cdrecord: Operation not permited. WARNING: Cannot set RR-rescheduler.
>cdrecord: Permission denied. WARNING: Cannot set priority using >setpriority()
>cdrecord: WARNING: This causes a high risk for buffer underruns.
>scsidev:'0,0,0'>scsibus: 0 target: 0 lun: 0
>cdrecord: No such device. Cannot open '/dev/pg0. Cannot open SCSI driver.
>cdrecord: For possible targets try 'cdrecord -scanbus'. Make sure you are >root.
>Cdrecord 1.10 (i586-mandrake-linux-gnu)Copyright (C) 1995-2001 Jorg >Schilling.
>TOC Type: 1 = CD_ROM
Apparently I have not configured something. With ECLiPT roast do I still have to make the IDE CDR an SCSI device? I was trying to avoid that. (no reason, just didn't want to. I am still unsure of my skills.)
Can you tell me where I can get the info to make it work. I don't want to have to revert to Windoze.
