OK I know I am answering my own message, but I found some instuctions.
But,,,,, Now I need to boot my machine and I am not using lilo. I am using a boot disk. I added append="hdc=ide-scsi to the syslinux.conf file on the boot disk and when i boot I good a kernal panic and halt.
Obviously either this isn't the file or I appended it wrong.
???????????
