  flame on! <grin>  Actually, I tried configuring postfix and gave up 
after a day or so.  I'm sure it is intuitive to some people.

  Sendmail is probably worse.  However, I have found that every distro has 
a default sendmail configuration that allows you to "get on the air" 
without having to do a lot of painful stuff.

  There is the added benefit of having books on the bookstore shelf that 
allow you to get sendmail answers.  I havent' seen any post fix books yet.  
Or exim, etc.  Also, plenty of sendmail gurus out there.

   Finally, this is most likely the wrong list to ask what MTA to use.  
Pick one, get on that MTA's mailing list, and learn from the experts.

   Every one of the MTA's work.  Every one of them does something right 
and something wrong.

   The bottom line is Linux supports them all.  Or maybe they all support 
Linux would be a better way of saying it.
