Dan,

I do a fair bit of audio work, but alas, the ms-windows platform has most of 
the good tools. :-(  [e.g. SoundForge]  However, one place I am watching with 
great interest is http://www.agnula.org/  You might want to check them out and 
see if you can find some help there.
