Should work just fine and be perfectly legal (though I've never 
done it myself).  However, I consider it "potentially dangerous" 
to make a habit out of carrying your private SSH keys around 
with you.  If the CD/floppy gets lost or stolen, you can never 
trust your own SSH keys again. =(
