Motherboard: ECS (Elitegroup Computer Systems) P6BX-A+ (circa 1998)
BIOS: Award, Upgraded to 6.0
This motherboard has 3 168-pin 3.3v DIMM sockets, and (according to the
manual) can support only "Dual In-line Memory Modules (DIMMs) which are
installed with SDRAM (Synchronous Dynamic Random Access Memory). This
motherboard can support 100MHz SDRAM and also 66MHz SDRAM. We recommend
that you use 100MHz SDRAM with PC/100 Compatibility..."
The manual further states: "The DIMMs can hold memory capacities from 8
MB through 128 MM. You can install one, two, or three DIMMs in any
combination, up to 384 MB of standard SDRAM."

The vendor says they have sold me the correct PC/100, 128 MB DIMMs (3 of
them), but my BIOS reports that I have 192 MB memory (3 x 64).

Question:
Is there some setting I am missing? I haven't found one yet.
Is the vendor full of hooey? Do I have the wrong memory?
Is it possible I have a defective motherboard?

Any advice or insight would be appreciated.
