  XFree 4.x locks on my machine, but look in /usr/X11R6/lib/modules for 
Wacom.  if it is there, ...

  you have to sing and dance to get it into the XFree system by modifying 
the XF86Config file in /etc/X11R6 directory. I've not done this, only done 
some work with XFree 3.3.6.

  use the strings program to look inside the Wacom driver to see what it 
may take as options.
