[NTLUG:Discuss] Periodic crashes on Redhat 8.0

 Hi,
 
 Very recently one of my linux boxes running Redhat
8.0 locks up every day.  It still has power because I
can open and close the CD ROM but it is not responsive
to everything else and all the power lights are off. 
I am currently using it as an NIS/Samba server and
connecting to is using ssh.  It isn't a shutdown 
because when I boot it up next, Linux notes that the
drives were not unmounted properly.  Other than that
it boots properly and lasts about a day.
 
My next course of action is to connect it to a
keyboard and monitor to see if the machines displays
any errors before crashing.  What logs can I check to
see what is happening?  Thanks.
