First, you might have luck posting to the sunmanagers list as this is a
Solaris (sort of) issue.
Second, just a guess, but have you tried installing the above against
Perl 5.6? I ask because I grabbed 5.8 when it came out and installed it
on my system and it broke a bunch of stuff on my system. Thankfully, I
used checkinstall to install it so I was able to rpm it out and just
rpm'ed Perl 5.6 back in. Perhaps the new threading mechanism in 5.8 is
causing issues with Ingres 2.5? Have you checked the support channels
for Ingres to see if there is any help there?
