dmesg shows:
eth0: NatSemi DP8381[56] at 0xd08d3000, 00:09:5b:09:ed:8e, IRQ 11.

/var/log/messages shows the same thing.

I belive your right. I don't think the card is getting initialized
but I can't figure this one out.
