[NTLUG:Discuss] RH 8.0 questions.

Hi again guys.

I just upgraded (?) from RH 7.3 to 8.0 a couple of days ago and have
some questions.

1. Can you guys get sawfish to work? I'm running Gnome and when I
select sawfish from the menu to change the window appearance, nothing
happens. Sawfish doesn't run. It used to under 7.3, but appears, I
think under a KDE menu. Do you have to be running KDE to use it now?

2. I now can't get into my normal user account, presumably because I
temporarily selected Enlightenment as my window manager, changed back to
Gnome and now I get this error showing in the .xsessions-errors file in
my user account...

/usr/bin/enlightenment: error while loading shared libraries:
libImlib.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

#1, I'm not using enlightenment, at least, not yet...#2, where does this
file it describes go and where do I find it on the disks I made from the
iso images to copy it to the correct directory? Or am I barking up the
wrong tree altogether? Basically, how do I clear this error so I can
log back on into my normal user account?

They also did away with one of the themes I was using under 7.3, the
Helix-Sweetpill-Crowberry. I don't like the default one that comes with
8.0, Bluecurve, so I've downloaded some other themes from Freshmeat, but
I didn't see the one I had before. Any suggestions?

This is gonna take some getting used to. Some of the programs I used
before like Kpackage aren't there any more. The Package Manager they
send with this version locked up on me the other day, but seemed to work
find today. Same with up2date...up2date is not confused about a package
I installed the other day...it won't install the updated samba-common
rpm because it says the samba-client update is already installed. Does
that mean I don't need to install it? I was under the impression that I
needed to install all the updates since I did update the samba-server
and the samba-client...or does that catch the files the samba-common
would install?

Thanks again...I don't know what I would do without you guys!

Wayne
