My views are a bit slanted because I got both of my SA Tivo's for
$99 each. They were 14 hour tivo's that I've removed the 15Gig
drives from and now one has 160Gig of space and the other has
100Gig.
Tivo / PVR is the best thing since sliced bread. ;) Tivo is great
in the fact that it is easy for non geeks to use. My wife who hates
computers loves Tivo. My daughters ( 3 and 5 ) can both turn
on the TiVo and get to blue's clues, or dragon tales or what
ever is recorded for them. If they like a show, they can ( my oldest
one any way ) can change it to 'never delete'. I won't let any of
the girls touch my linux box. ;)
If anyone needs more tivo info, I can go on and on and on and on, etc.
;)
