Wayne,
Try to reinstall the libImlib package to see if it'll reset any screwed
up links and/or files.
rpm -Uv --all --replacepkgs /path/libImlib?????.rpm
This will replace all files reguardless of the current version number,
ie you won't get an "already installed" error. By doing the upgrade
option you shouldn't need to worry about dependencies with other
packages. You'll have to find where the RPM is on your CDs first though.
This may not solve all of your problems, just one step at a time.
