Thanks!  I'm downloading it now.  Though it appears to now be an unsupported 
project, still, it might be useful.

While looking for it, I saw Cenelerra 
(http://heroinewarrior.com/cinelerra.php3) which looks interesting.  I may 
have to try it and see if it can deal with audio only files.
