Well, it's obviously worth *something* - the question is: Could you do
something else with that time/money/effort and increase your chances
still more?

I think that depends a great deal on the nature of the job you are seeking.

In the company I work for, I doubt it would make much difference
if we were looking for a programmer - but it would be a useful
addition to your resumee if we were trying to recruit a sys-admin
type of person.
