I don't remember if NS 4.x allowed you to turn on/off warnings regarding
encryption (or lack thereof).  I have been using Mozilla for quite a
while now so don't remember.  Check Edit->Preferences and see if there
is a Security section.  If so, check there to see if the settings for
warnings are as you wish.

Since it's a web issue and not an OS issue, I would have lied in the
email and told them I was on Windows, just to get them to look at the
problem.  It may not be ethical but it works - for me anyway - to get
around some annoying tech. support policies.
