What is the brand name and/or type of modem? (More details/info.)
What problem are you having with it?
Is it pnp?
Does lsmod reveal isa-pnp?
See if you see anything on it in /proc/isapnp ?
Or does it use jumpers, and if so, what do you have it set to?
