I have satellite and the quality is good other than the latency. Generally
a ping takes approximately 1 second which will not do for gaming. Downloads
are good though. I would get DSL or Cable instead if it were an option.

I believe cable and dsl are available in these areas. Check out
attbi.com for cable and an ISP such as earthlink.net for dsl. I think
both of these options are dynamic IP only. However, there are 'biz'
variations with static IP's available too. Satellite is available for
people outside dsl/cable areas (can't speak for quality since I have no
experience with it).
