your time is incorrect.  utc time is closer to 17:24.  your system is 
configured for the wrong time zone.

[lee at foonine giFT]$ date
Sun Mar  9 12:23:14 EST 2003

[lee at foonine giFT]$ date -u
Sun Mar  9 17:25:50 UTC 2003
