[NTLUG:Discuss] Timestamp question

OK, I figured it out.  Thanks for all your help guys.

Here is what I did.

ran tzconfig to set current time and timezone.

then ran hwclock --systohc --utc
this sync. the clock with the internal clock.

then voila... 
date showes Sun Mar 9 12:50:0 CST
