Here is the info I have collected to set up the AT&T stuff WITHOUT that 
stinking CD.  Now understand, these settings, etc. are settings for 
MSIE...don't know about the Netscape stuff.  I told the tech that I hated 
that stupid CD, and refused to use it.  I also set up a bunch of home 
networks....and do not want to use that CD.  Now here is the catch...you 
MUST be connected directly to the modem from the computer...NO FIREWALLS in 
the middle.  Once they "register" the modem....BLOCK them!  Put the 
firewall into place and the heck with them!  :-)

I don't know if Comcast has changed anything...I doubt it, but this is what 
AT&T required a couple of months ago....on my last AT&T install.  :-)
