18 hours seems like a very long time but 120G will take awhile.  I seem 
to remember taking nearly an hour to do an 8G drive before.  I usually 
don't do bad block scans due to the time.

You might do a format only just to confirm the process and then backup 
to the partitioning and rerun with the block check enabled.
