Statement of Advocacy:
Please consider the importance of the open source software proposal in SB
1579. At a time when budgets are so strained it is unfortunate that we
spend so much public money on software licenses while open source (free)
software such as Linux can do the same tasks.
Think of the price of software for all public PCs in Texas! Think how much
we could save with open sourced software alternatives.
Please let me know your position on SB 1579.
Sincerely,
Leif Johnson
