Yeah, this is why I'd rather face the heat here for posting it there 
than on the fortiutioiousiousioususiousious list.  I did find it 
encouraging that the voices of reason there are the same ones being the 
voices of reason here.  Thanks Greg & Steve.

In any event, remember that we are all responsible for our own actions, 
and should act appropriately.  The whole thing shouldn't be about a PHD 
with a deal involving a rural retreat insider who sees a business 
opportunity [Nothing wrong with that though] for himself.

Open formats would do much more good than a blanket "use open source and 
I'll train you!" law.
