Howdy,

I have made all of mine myself.  A small cut between each of the wires 
and the cable pulls apart from there...

Now, with the 80 conductor IDE cables used for Ultra ATA 33/66/100/133, 
there are 40 additional ground wires to mess with.  I have not tried 
splitting one of these apart, but I have done several 50 conductor SCSI 
cables.

The most difficulty is getting the wrapping material to stay soft and 
pliable.  Some of my first attempts became stiff and difficult to move 
after installation.

There are plenty of commercial products out there that look to be very 
well made, but YMMV.
