Mandrake has an option to install into a virtual file
system install that allows you to put a regular mandrake
install in a virtual file system (similar to a windows
drivespace drive) that resides as one big windows file on a
windows file system.

It runs slower than with a native file system, but it is
REAL linux without the partitioning that can be called from
command line.

This is discussed in all mandrake retail manuals or you can
see the official web page
