I have been having an extremely hard time utilizing 802.11b with my
laptop. I am currently running Redhat 9 and using a Linksys WPC11v3 PCMCIA
card associating with a Linksys WAP11. All of my firmware is up todate and
the card is setup and makes a good connection to the network. My problem
seems to be widespread with this particular card as I have found when
searching for my problem using Google. When transfering any significant
ammount of data in a short timeframe (Mostly file transfers, FTP, SAMBA,
etc.), the card locks up and has to be re-inserted to regain connectivity.
I was hoping to get the group's collective opinion on PCMCIA 802.11b cards
that play nice with Linux.
