[NTLUG:Discuss] Major/minor number

[jaylinux at Texas jaylinux]$ tty
/dev/pts/0
[jaylinux at Texas jaylinux]$ ls -l /dev/pts/0
crw--w----    1 jaylinux tty      136,   0 May 23 12:27 /dev/pts/0

When I do the above commands I thought I would get a major and minor number. 
It looks like maybe I only got a major number?

i did some research and for this type of device (I can't recall what they 
called it - maybe queued) it looks like maybe there is no minor number.

Is 136 the major and there just is no minor? Does anyone know why this is?
